Crest Nicholson have drawn on the existing layouts of nearby primary schools – specifically High Leigh Primary School in Hoddesdon, and Avanti Meadows Primary School in Bishop’s Stortford – to best design a space that works for students and staff.

 

Internally, Rosedale Park will be based on the same successful layout as High Leigh Primary School, which was subject to the same standards and utilised a simple, contemporary appearance.

 

Externally, Rosedale Park Primary School’s layout has drawn on the successful terraced site layout of Avanti Meadows – as Avanti Meadows has made the most of its sloping landscape, which is also is a constraint of the land at Rosedale Park where the school will be built.

 

As a result, the final design is for a building located on the south of the site that follows the landscape’s natural contours – with the football pitch and running track located downslope to the north of the site.
